The first time I met Ed Barnard’s dad. I was about 6 years old.

I’m real lucky to have survived that fateful meeting when I first met my nephew’s (Ed Barnard) dad, Eugene C. Barnard.  It was early evening, and my sister, Beverly P. Barnard, was getting ready for her date.  The door bell rang.  My heart was pounding with anticipation because earlier I overheard my sister telling my dad that “Gene” was real special.  I rushed to the door, ahead of everyone.  To my sister’s horror, as she was just a few paces behind me, I swung open the door and quickly blurted out “are you going to marry my sister”?  My sister was speechless.  My mom quickly grabbed my hand and led me out of the foyer.  Boy did I get it then, and I got it double when my sister got home from  her date with Gene Barnard.  And yes, they did marry.

Lol - now that is a good story.

If you have a good Ed story, personally I would be very entertained.
