Reynoldsville, Jefferson County, Pennsylvania 1880s
Grandfather’s memo says one of George Allen and Rose Irwin’s daughters married a Corbett, and lived at Reynoldsville Pennsylvania. Here’s an 1880s photo from Reynoldsville, “From the Family Album of Thomas and Julianna Reynolds, founders of Reynoldsville, Pennsylvania.”

As for which daughter? That has to be Isabella. The census shows John H. and Isabel Corbett living in Jefferson County 1880. He was a dry goods merchant.

we are apparently decendants of thomas reynolds and his wife whose name i did not know
sure but we do have two oil paintings done of them by a distant relative who also
did a third oil painting titled by mouth of “the doctor’s son” which shows a young bo
sitting reading a medical book with a skull infront of him. we also may have thomas reynolds
birthbed that he was born in.
my father is deceased and i can not get any information from
him and his father died in the forties, i believe his name was edwin and his wife’s n
name possibly was mary?
is there a museum of reynolds pa that may be interested in these?
any info would be appreciated, regards scottt

Scottt,
I’m pleased to meet you!
I’ve never been to western Pennsylvania myself, so can’t directly answer your question. However, the people who maintain the Jefferson County genealogy website:
http://www.pa-roots.com/~jefferson/
have strong connections to both Jefferson and Armstrong counties. Check out their links, or perhaps write to them directly. I expect somebody would be EXTREMELY happy to see your treasures!
