General Notes (Husband)

Oliver served in the 82nd Field Artillery, Indian Scouts as a Sargeant.

Oliver died from broncho-pneumonia, contributory factor being cancer of the face and neck. He had the cancer about 20 years. In aphoto taken in 1912 the cancer on his face is visible.

Oliver prospected and founded the mines "Little Fanny" and "Golden Links" near Silver City, New Mexico. 6,21,226


General Notes (Wife)

Bella was in the Big Spring State Hospital, a mental health facility, for the last years of her life, suffering from "chronic brain syndrome associated with cerebral arteriosclerosis with psychosis." She died from a cerebral embolus.

Trinity Memorial Park is located on Highway 87 (San Angelo Highway) about 3 or 4 miles south of Big Spring. Turn right into the cemetery at the first gate,and go to the right on North Road. When you pass the first sidewalk, count five rows. Bella's grave is the third one from the road. She has a very ornate metal headstone, which lies flat, with roses and a Bible in relief, with a cupto hold flowers. 6


General Notes for Child Dolly Fay ZOOK

When Dolly's father died in 1927, she and her sister Ada were removed from the care of their mother and sent to the Saint Vincent Orphanage in Santa Fe, NM. Dolly was later sent to a girls school in Los Lunas, NM. When she left the girls school, she went to stay with her half-sister, May Vadis Ashby Jones. She married Albert Jones, the brother of Mary's husband, Floyd Jones. 6,21
